Indigenous modernities: From Wild West to Vaudeville
This plenary considers popular vaudeville and other performances at the turn of the 20th century, arguing that Indigeneity is at the heart of modernity. The talk develops its analysis on what are often called ‘the four R’s’ of Indigenous Research Methodologies: Respect, Reciprocity, Relationality, and Responsibility.
